At 1316 hrs Company 23 was alerted for a first due dwelling fire.  The report from a passerby was smoke coming from the eaves.  The Quint was already out doing inspections and was right around the corner.  The Squad came from quarters along with the crews from Co 12.

First arriving units took the front door to find heavy smoke conditions inside the structure.  The crew from Quint 23 found a hole burned in the floor just inside the door.  The point of attack was quickly changed to the basement where the fire originated.

Lines were stretched to side Charlie where they entered the basement and knocked the fire.  Crews from 23, 12, 17, 30 and 26 worked to check for extension before taking up.
