C-Shift    Quint 23 got a little more then they bargained when they were dispatched for a man on the rocks with a possibly broken hip.  Just after dispatch Fire Alarm upgraded the call by adding Squad 23 after realizing that the man could actually be in the water.  After a short search, the units from 23 along with Medic 30 located the patient....in the water.  Lt. Robertson(QNT23) established the command.  Firefighters and paramedics from all three units worked feverishly to remove the victim from the water after donning swiftwater suits and life vests.  Units operated for about an hour.  The victim was transported to a local hospital.
