Jones Station will host its first ever open house on the 24th of October from noon till 1600 hrs. We will open our doors to the public we serve. Come see the firehouse where we live and work, the rigs we ride, and the equipment we maintain and use to serve the emergency service needs of the community.
We will run demonstrations of our rope rescue (1300 hrs), collapse rescue (1400 hrs) and hazardous materials mitigation (1500 hrs) skills. There will be interactive stations showcasing our thermal imaging, swiftwater rescue, rope rescue, and collapse rescue equipment. Kids will be able to demonstrate their knowledge of fire safety skills.
Parking will be available at the Park and Ride on Jones Station Road across from the Rite Aid. Anne Arundel County Reserve officers will be assisting with traffic control for visitors to cross the intersection of Jones Station Road and Route 648 (B&A Blvd).
Questions? Feel free to call the firehouse at (410)222-8223. We hope to see you there!
